Vonage SMS

Text alerts to a phone number on the free plan. No third-party chatbot.

How the wire-up works

Three things to know: the protocol, the credential, and what the alert payload looks like. The setup is the same on free and Pro.

Vonage API key + API secret + a Vonage-provisioned FROM number. Each subscriber supplies their own number when they opt in.
Payload

When Vonage SMS is the right pick

You already have a Vonage account and prefer its EU presence over Twilio's US default, or you want a separate SMS provider as a backup to Twilio.
